Monroe Catholic Rams (Fairbanks, AK) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Lathrop Malemutes (Fairbanks, AK), 68-59 in a league bout.

With the win, Monroe Catholic upgrades its record to 12-4 on the season. The Rams host West Valley (Fairbanks, AK) to play the Wolf Pack in a 4A Mid Alaska bout on Thursday, February 8. The Wolf Pack go into the bout with a record of 12-2.

Next up, the Malemutes play the Hutchison Hawks (Fairbanks, AK) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, February 6. Lathrop will attempt to upgrade on its 6-10 season record. The Hawks go into the bout with a 3-11 record after their 53-48 league win over Ben Eielson (Eielson AFB, AK).
