The Laurel Christian Lions basketball team scored 48 points and held the host Prentiss Christian Saints to 33 in the Lions non-league triumph on Friday.
The Lions now sport a 8-15 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Porter's Chapel Academy for a non-league contest on Wednesday, February 7. Laurel Christian will meet a Eagles team coming off a 46-45 non-league loss to Briarfield Academy (Lake Providence, LA). The Eagles record now stands at 3-4.
The Saints (1-9) will now prepare for their contest against Hillcrest Christian (Jackson, MS). The Cougars enter the non-league contest with a 20-6 record. In their last contest, Hillcrest Christian ran past Prairie View Academy (Bastrop, LA), 81-17, in a non-league contest.
