In Friday's league outing, the Orange County Fighting Hornets (Orange, VA) basketball squad felled the visiting Louisa County Lions (Mineral, VA), by a margin of 53-44.

The Fighting Hornets (13-9) will now prepare for their outing against Monticello (Charlottesville, VA). The Mustangs go into the Jefferson outing with a 7-12 record. In their last outing, Monticello was beaten by Albemarle (Charlottesville, VA), 86-52, in a league outing.

The Lions now own a 6-14 record. They play next when they host Godwin for a non-league outing on Monday, February 5. Louisa County will clash with a Eagles squad coming off a 57-45 league win over Deep Run (Glen Allen, VA). The Eagles record now stands at 14-4.
