In Friday's league outing, the Richard Pioneers (Riverview, MI) basketball squad edged the host Loyola Bull Dogs (Detroit, MI), by a count of 55-50.
The Pioneers (14-3) will now prepare for their outing against Cranbrook Kingswood (Bloomfield Hills, MI). The Cranes go into the Catholic Intersectional I outing with a 2-12 record. In their last outing, Cranbrook Kingswood was tipped by Lutheran North (Macomb, MI), 63-53, in a non-league outing.
The Bull Dogs now hold a 6-10 record. They play next when they host Gabriel Richard for a Catholic AA outing on Saturday, February 3. Loyola will clash with a Fighting Irish squad coming off a 46-43 non-league loss to Greenhills (Ann Arbor, MI). The Fighting Irish record now stands at 10-8.
