The Niles West Wolves (Skokie, IL) basketball nipped the host Maine West Warriors (Des Plaines, IL), 53-48 in Friday's league test.
The Wolves (17-9) will now prepare for their test against North Chicago (North Chicago, IL). The Warhawks go into the non-league test with a 2-24 record. In their last test, North Chicago was tipped by Lakes (Lake Villa, IL), 67-37, in a league test.
The Warriors now own a 4-19 record. They play next when they host Waukegan for a non-league test on Saturday, February 3. Maine West will encounter a Bulldogs squad coming off a 91-63 league loss to Warren Township (Gurnee, IL). The Bulldogs record now stands at 15-10.
