North Mecklenburg Vikings (Huntersville, NC) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Mallard Creek Mavericks (Charlotte, NC), 108-64 in a league bout.

With the win, North Mecklenburg upgrades its record to 17-3 on the season. The Vikings travel to West Mecklenburg (Charlotte, NC) to play the Hawks in a 3A/4A Queen City bout on Tuesday, February 6. The Hawks go into the bout with a record of 6-11. West Mecklenburg lost 65-44 in their recent league bout against Hough (Cornelius, NC)

Next up, the Mavericks play the Harding University Rams (Charlotte, NC) in a 3A/4A Queen City bout, on Tuesday, February 6. Mallard Creek will attempt to upgrade on its 7-13 season record. The Rams go into the bout with a 5-14 record after their 82-35 league loss to Chambers (Charlotte, NC).
