New Paltz Huguenots (New Paltz, NY) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Marlboro Central Dukes (Marlboro, NY), 70-55 in a non-league bout.

With the win, New Paltz upgrades its record to 8-2 on the season. The Huguenots travel to Wallkill (Wallkill, NY) to clash with the Panthers in a non-league bout on Saturday, February 3. The Panthers go into the bout with a record of 1-14. Wallkill lost 63-39 in their recent league bout against Roosevelt (Hyde Park, NY)

Next up, the Dukes clash with the Beacon Bulldogs (Beacon, NY) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, February 6. Marlboro Central will attempt to upgrade on its 3-7 season record. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a 18-7 record after their 58-54 non-league win over Red Hook (Red Hook, NY).
