New Glarus Glarner Knights (New Glarus, WI) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Marshall Cardinals (Marshall, WI), 62-61 in a league bout.

With the win, New Glarus upgrades its record to 14-5 on the season. The Glarner Knights travel to Wisconsin Heights (Mazomanie, WI) to play the Vanguards in a Capitol - South bout on Thursday, February 8. The Vanguards go into the bout with a record of 9-10. Wisconsin Heights lost 80-51 in their recent league bout against Belleville (Belleville, WI)

Next up, the Cardinals play the Markesan Hornets (Markesan, WI) in a non-league bout, on Monday, February 5. Marshall will attempt to upgrade on its 10-9 season record. The Hornets go into the bout with a 4-12 record after their 77-59 league loss to Fall River (Fall River, WI).
