The Metro Academy Mavericks basketball team scored 82 points and restricted the host Wichita Defenders HomeSchool Defenders to 21 in the Mavericks non-league victory on Friday.

The Mavericks now sport a 17-11 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Kansas City East Christian Academy for a non-league contest on Friday, February 2. Metro Academy will battle a Lions team coming off a 75-45 league win over Wichita Defenders HomeSchool (Wichita, KS). The Lions record now stands at 19-10.

The Defenders (6-13) will now prepare for their contest against Lighthouse Christian (Springfield, MO). The Chargers come into the non-league contest with a 11-8 record. In their last contest, Lighthouse Christian triumphed over Metro Academy (Shawnee Mission, KS), 72-70, in a non-league contest.
