Mount Abram Roadrunners (Strong, ME) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Spruce Mountain Phoenix (Jay, ME), 60-46 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Mount Abram upgrades its record to 14-1 on the season. The Roadrunners travel to Boothbay (Boothbay Harbor, ME) to encounter the Seahawks in a C South test on Tuesday, February 6. The Seahawks go into the test with a record of 5-11. Boothbay won 54-47 in their recent league test against Madison (Madison, ME)

The Phoenix now own a 10-6 record. They play next when they travel to Winthrop for a non-league test on Tuesday, February 6. Spruce Mountain will encounter a Ramblers squad coming off a 41-39 non-league win over Oak Hill (Sabattus, ME). The Ramblers record now stands at 10-6.
