Mumford Mustangs (Mumford, TX) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Snook Bluejays (Snook, TX), 73-34 in a league bout.

With the win, Mumford upgrades its record to 24-10 on the season. The Mustangs travel to Burton (Burton, TX) to play the Panthers in a 2A Region IV District 26 bout on Tuesday, February 6. The Panthers go into the bout with a record of 9-18. Burton lost 62-46 in their recent league bout against Normangee (Normangee, TX)

Next up, the Bluejays play the Iola Bulldogs (Iola, TX) in a 2A Region IV District 26 bout, on Tuesday, February 6. Snook will attempt to upgrade on its 9-18 season record. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a 1-16 record after their 77-30 league loss to Somerville (Somerville, TX).
