Port Arthur Memorial Titans (Port Arthur, TX) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Nederland Bulldogs (Nederland, TX), 51-32 in a league bout.

With the victory, Port Arthur Memorial upgrades its record to 23-8 on the campaign. The Titans travel to Crosby (Crosby, TX) to play the Cougars in a 5A Region III District 17 bout on Tuesday, February 6. The Cougars come into the bout with a record of 13-15. Crosby won 47-44 in their recent league bout against Lee (Baytown, TX)

Next up, the Bulldogs play the Barbers Hill Eagles (Mt. Belvieu, TX) in a 5A Region III District 17 bout, on Tuesday, February 6. Nederland will attempt to upgrade on its 17-10 season record. The Eagles come into the bout with a 27-4 record after their 68-60 league win over Port Neches-Groves (Port Neches, TX).
