United South Central Rebels (Wells, MN) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host New Richland-Hartland-Ellendale-Geneva Panthers (New Richland, MN), 52-35 in a league bout.

With the win, United South Central upgrades its record to 11-8 on the season. The Rebels travel to Lewiston-Altura (Lewiston, MN) to clash with the Cardinals in a non-league bout on Saturday, February 3. The Cardinals go into the bout with a record of 15-7. Lewiston-Altura won 80-45 in their recent league bout against St. Charles (St. Charles, MN)

Next up, the Panthers clash with the Hayfield Vikings (Hayfield, MN) in a non-league bout, on Monday, February 5. New Richland-Hartland-Ellendale-Geneva will attempt to upgrade on its 3-18 season record. The Vikings go into the bout with a 4-19 record after their 58-50 league loss to Kenyon-Wanamingo (Kenyon, MN).
