Nocona Indians (Nocona, TX) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Windthorst Trojans (Windthorst, TX), 65-50 in a league bout.

With the victory, Nocona upgrades its record to 15-8 on the campaign. The Indians travel to Olney (Olney, TX) to play the Cubs in a 2A Region II District 9 bout on Tuesday, February 6. The Cubs come into the bout with a record of 10-19. Olney won 50-48 in their recent league bout against Petrolia (Petrolia, TX)

Next up, the Trojans play the Seymour Panthers (Seymour, TX) in a 2A Region II District 9 bout, on Tuesday, February 6. Windthorst will attempt to upgrade on its 17-11 season record. The Panthers come into the bout with a 12-15 record after their 44-38 league win over Archer City (Archer City, TX).
