The Shepaug Valley Spartans basketball team (Washington, CT), was nudged 66-65 in Friday's league battle with the host Nonnewaug Chiefs (Woodbury, CT)
The Chiefs now possess a 12-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Thomaston for a Berkshire battle on Tuesday, February 6. Nonnewaug will battle a Bears team coming off a 60-54 league win over Terryville (Terryville, CT). The Bears record now stands at 8-6.
The Spartans (10-5) will now prepare for their battle against Gilbert (Winsted, CT). The Yellowjackets come into the Berkshire battle with a 0-15 record.
