Symmes Valley Vikings (Willow Wood, OH) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Oak Hill Oaks (Oak Hill, OH), 52-49 in a league bout.
With the win, Symmes Valley upgrades its record to 11-5 on the season. The Vikings host Wellston (Wellston, OH) to play the Golden Rockets in a non-league bout on Saturday, February 3. The Golden Rockets go into the bout with a record of 4-13. Wellston won 63-50 in their recent league bout against River Valley (Bidwell, OH)
Next up, the Oaks play the Western Indians (Latham, OH) in a Southern Ohio II bout, on Tuesday, February 6. Oak Hill will attempt to upgrade on its 5-12 season record. The Indians go into the bout with a 5-12 record after their 75-64 league win over Eastern (Beaver, OH).
