University Prep Panthers (Detroit, MI) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Old Redford Academy Ravens (Detroit, MI), 58-54 in a non-league bout.

With the win, University Prep upgrades its record to 9-5 on the season. The Panthers host River Rouge (River Rouge, MI) to play the Panthers in a Michigan Metro bout on Monday, February 5. The Panthers go into the bout with a record of 9-6. River Rouge lost 89-76 in their recent non-league bout against Notre Dame Prep (Pontiac, MI)

Next up, the Ravens play the University Prep Art & Design Mustangs (Detroit, MI) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, February 3. Old Redford Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 7-8 season record.
