Oscoda Owls (Oscoda, MI) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Whittemore-Prescott Cardinals (Whittemore, MI), 71-33 in a league bout.

With the win, Oscoda upgrades its record to 11-4 on the season. The Owls travel to Alcona (Lincoln, MI) to play the Tigers in a North Star bout on Tuesday, February 6. The Tigers go into the bout with a record of 14-4. Alcona won 40-37 in their recent league bout against Rogers City (Rogers City, MI)

Next up, the Cardinals play the Heston Academy Patriots (St. Helen, MI) in a North Star bout, on Tuesday, February 6. Whittemore-Prescott will attempt to upgrade on its 2-13 season record. The Patriots go into the bout with a 8-7 record after their 54-49 league loss to Mio-Au Sable (Mio, MI).
