With the victory, Sandia upgrades its record to 13-7 on the campaign. The Matadors host West Mesa (Albuquerque, NM) to play the Mustangs in a 5A District 2 challenge on Wednesday, February 7. The Mustangs come into the challenge with a record of 13-6. West Mesa won 72-66 in their recent league challenge against Eldorado (Albuquerque, NM)

Next up, the Panthers play the Farmington Scorpions (Farmington, NM) in a 5A District 2 challenge, on Tuesday, February 6. Piedra Vista will attempt to upgrade on its 5-15 season record. The Scorpions come into the challenge with a 16-4 record after their 87-71 league loss to La Cueva (Albuquerque, NM).
