The Plainfield East Bengals (Plainfield, IL) basketball knocked off the host Plainfield South Cougars (Plainfield, IL), 63-49 in Friday's league test.
The Bengals (10-16) will now prepare for their test against Yorkville (Yorkville, IL). The Foxes go into the SouthWest Prairie test with a 15-10 record. In their last test, Yorkville went down by St. Francis (Wheaton, IL), 58-49, in a non-league test.
The Cougars now own a 7-17 record. They play next when they travel to Lincoln-Way Central for a non-league test on Saturday, February 3. Plainfield South will encounter a Knights squad coming off a 60-57 league win over Stagg (Palos Hills, IL). The Knights record now stands at 13-12.
