Willamina Bulldogs (Willamina, OR) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Salem Academy Crusaders (Salem, OR), 64-51 in a league bout.

With the win, Willamina upgrades its record to 19-4 on the season. The Bulldogs host Western Christian (Salem, OR) to play the Pioneers in a 2A Tri-River challenge on Tuesday, February 6. The Pioneers come into the challenge with a record of 23-1. Western Christian won 66-33 in their recent league challenge against Kennedy (Mt. Angel, OR)

Next up, the Crusaders confront the Gervais Cougars (Gervais, OR) in a 2A Tri-River challenge, on Saturday, February 3. Salem Academy will attempt to improve on its 6-13 season record. The Cougars come into the challenge with a 13-6 record after their 60-48 league win over Delphian (Sheridan, OR).
