St. Marys Bears (St. Marys, KS) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Silver Lake Eagles (Silver Lake, KS), 64-61 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, St. Marys upgrades its record to 11-3 on the campaign. The Bears travel to Riley County (Riley, KS) to play the Falcons in a non-league bout on Monday, February 5. The Falcons come into the bout with a record of 3-12. Riley County lost 53-31 in their recent non-league bout against Rock Creek (St. George, KS)

Next up, the Eagles play the Wabaunsee Chargers (Alma, KS) in a non-league bout, on Monday, February 5. Silver Lake will attempt to upgrade on its 10-6 season record. The Chargers come into the bout with a 2-11 record after their 72-52 non-league loss to Rossville (Rossville, KS).
