Steele Canyon Cougars (Spring Valley, CA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Valhalla Norsemen (El Cajon, CA), 55-47 in a league bout.

With the win, Steele Canyon upgrades its record to 13-13 on the season. The Cougars travel to West Hills (Santee, CA) to clash with the Wolf Pack in a Grossmont - Valley bout on Tuesday, February 6. The Wolf Pack go into the bout with a record of 10-16. West Hills won 67-53 in their recent league bout against Granite Hills (El Cajon, CA)

Next up, the Norsemen clash with the Castle Park Trojans (Chula Vista, CA) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, February 3. Valhalla will attempt to upgrade on its 6-19 season record. The Trojans go into the bout with a 9-13 record after their 57-33 league win over Hilltop (Chula Vista, CA).
