Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Uwharrie Charter Eagles (Asheboro, NC) and the visiting Trinity Bulldogs (Trinity, NC), saw Uwharrie Charter's basketball squad hold off Trinity by a tally of 71-69.

With the victory, Uwharrie Charter improves its record to 9-11 on the campaign. The Eagles host Randleman (Randleman, NC) to play the Tigers in a 1A/2A Piedmont challenge on Wednesday, February 7. The Tigers come into the challenge with a record of 16-4. Randleman won 61-49 in their recent league challenge against Southwestern Randolph (Asheboro, NC)

Next up, the Bulldogs play the Providence Grove Patriots (Franklinville, NC) in a 1A/2A Piedmont challenge, on Tuesday, February 6. Trinity will attempt to improve on its 13-8 season record. The Patriots come into the challenge with a 6-14 record after their 56-41 league loss to Southwestern Randolph (Asheboro, NC).
