West Stokes Wildcats (King, NC) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting T.W. Andrews Red Raiders (High Point, NC), 72-53 in a league bout.

With the win, West Stokes upgrades its record to 17-5 on the season. The Wildcats travel to Reidsville (Reidsville, NC) to play the Rams in a 2A Mid-State bout on Tuesday, February 6. The Rams go into the bout with a record of 17-0. Reidsville won 94-55 in their recent league bout against McMichael (Mayodan, NC)

Next up, the Red Raiders play the Morehead Panthers (Eden, NC) in a 2A Mid-State bout, on Tuesday, February 6. T.W. Andrews will attempt to upgrade on its 6-16 season record. The Panthers go into the bout with a 12-7 record after their 84-67 league win over McMichael (Mayodan, NC).
