The Waynesville Spartans basketball team scored 61 points and restricted the visiting Valley View Spartans to 56 in the Spartans league victory on Friday.

The Spartans now sport a 11-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Carlisle for a Southwestern Buckeye - Buckeye contest on Tuesday, February 6. Waynesville will battle a Indians team coming off a 59-32 non-league win over Twin Valley South (West Alexandria, OH). The Indians record now stands at 12-7.

The Spartans (7-10) will now prepare for their contest against Madison (Middletown, OH). The Mohawks come into the Southwestern Buckeye - Buckeye contest with a 6-12 record. In their last contest, Madison was nudged by Oakwood (Dayton, OH), 61-40, in a league contest.
