New Mexico High School Basketball - Piedra Vista can't hold off Sandia

The Sandia Matadors basketball team scored 59 points and restricted the visiting Piedra Vista Panthers to 56 in the Matadors non-league victory on Friday.
The Matadors now sport a 7-7 record. They put it on the line next when they host West Mesa for a non-league contest on Wednesday, February 7. Sandia will battle a Mustangs team coming off a 62-48 non-league win over Eldorado (Albuquerque, NM). The Mustangs record now stands at 10-4.
The Panthers (5-5) will now prepare for their contest against Farmington (Farmington, NM). The Scorpions come into the non-league contest with a 12-3 record. In their last contest, Farmington was nudged by La Cueva (Albuquerque, NM), 59-45, in a non-league contest.
