Rogers City Hurons (Rogers City, MI) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Alcona Tigers (Lincoln, MI), 38-34 in a league bout.

With the win, Rogers City upgrades its record to 9-4 on the season. The Hurons host Mio-Au Sable (Mio, MI) to play the Thunderbolts in a Freelance bout on Monday, February 5. The Thunderbolts go into the bout with a record of 10-4. Mio-Au Sable won 54-14 in their recent league bout against Heston Academy (St. Helen, MI)

Next up, the Tigers play the Oscoda Owls (Oscoda, MI) in a North Star bout, on Monday, February 5. Alcona will attempt to upgrade on its 9-4 season record. The Owls go into the bout with a 10-4 record after their 63-22 league win over Whittemore-Prescott (Whittemore, MI).
