In Friday's league outing, the Cardinal Mooney Catholic Cardinals (Marine City, MI) basketball squad edged the visiting Austin Catholic Crusaders (Chesterfield, MI), by a count of 34-32.

The Cardinals (7-7) will now prepare for their outing against Frankel Jewish Academy of Metro Detroit (West Bloomfield, MI). The Jaguars go into the Catholic C-D D outing with a 3-10 record. In their last outing, Frankel Jewish Academy of Metro Detroit was tipped by Detroit Cristo Rey (Detroit, MI), 48-33, in a non-league outing.

The Crusaders now hold a 3-7 record. They play next when they travel to Our Lady of the Lakes for a Catholic C-D D outing on Tuesday, February 6.
