The Avinger Indians basketball team scored 46 points and restricted the host Sulphur Bluff Bears to 35 in the Indians league victory on Friday.

The Indians now sport a 15-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host Saltillo for a 1A Region III District 24 contest on Tuesday, February 6. Avinger will battle a Lions team coming off a 64-10 league win over Yantis (Yantis, TX). The Lions record now stands at 24-7.

With the defeat, Sulphur Bluff moves to 11-19 on the year. The Bears travel to Union Hill (Gilmer, TX) to meet the Bulldogs in a 1A Region III District 24 match on Tuesday, February 6. The Bulldogs enter the match with a record of 6-12. Union Hill lost 62-8 in their recent league match against Avinger (Avinger, TX)
