Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Lithia Springs Lions (Lithia Springs, GA) and the host Banneker Trojans (College Park, GA), saw Lithia Springs's basketball squad wallop Banneker by a count of 58-37.

With the victory, Lithia Springs upgrades its record to 8-14 on the campaign. The Lions host Chapel Hill (Douglasville, GA) to play the Panthers in a AAAAA Region 5 challenge on Saturday, February 3. The Panthers come into the challenge with a record of 4-18. Chapel Hill lost 71-59 in their recent league challenge against Mays (Atlanta, GA)

Next up, the Trojans play the Creekside Seminoles (Fairburn, GA) in a AAAAA Region 5 battle, on Tuesday, February 6. Banneker will attempt to improve on its 4-19 season record. The Seminoles come into the battle with a 15-7 record after their 66-58 league loss to Jackson (Atlanta, GA).
