Cascade Cougars (Cascade, IA) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Bellevue Comets (Bellevue, IA), 50-30 in a league bout.

With the victory, Cascade upgrades its record to 13-4 on the campaign. The Cougars travel to Decorah-North Winneshiek (Decorah, IA) to play the Vikings in a non-league bout on Saturday, February 3. The Vikings come into the bout with a record of 13-5. Decorah-North Winneshiek won 62-37 in their recent league bout against Waukon (Waukon, IA)

Next up, the Comets play the Monticello Panthers (Monticello, IA) in a Freelance bout, on Saturday, February 3. Bellevue will attempt to upgrade on its 7-10 season record. The Panthers come into the bout with a 15-3 record after their 54-38 non-league win over Northeast (Goose Lake, IA).
