Texas High School Basketball - Lake View topped by Big Spring

The Big Spring Steers basketball team scored 42 points and restricted the host Lake View Chiefs to 32 in the Steers league victory on Friday.
The Steers now sport a 5-24 record. They put it on the line next when they host Sweetwater for a 4A Region I District 5 contest on Tuesday, February 6. Big Spring will battle a Mustangs team coming off a 44-39 league win over Snyder (Snyder, TX). The Mustangs record now stands at 17-12.
The Chiefs (0-28) will now prepare for their contest against Levelland (Levelland, TX). The Lobos come into the 4A Region I District 5 contest with a 31-2 record. In their last contest, Levelland prevailed over Estacado (Lubbock, TX), 44-36, in a league contest.
