Blackduck Drakes (Blackduck, MN) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Clearbrook-Gonvick Bears (Clearbrook, MN), 74-39 in a league bout.

With the win, Blackduck upgrades its record to 13-8 on the campaign. The Drakes host Nevis (Nevis, MN) to confront the Tigers in a non-league challenge on Thursday, February 8. The Tigers come into the challenge with a record of 12-6.

Next up, the Bears confront the Lake of the Woods Bears (Baudette, MN) in a A Section 8 challenge, on Tuesday, February 6. Clearbrook-Gonvick will attempt to improve on its 6-13 season record. The Bears come into the challenge with a 3-15 record after their 85-20 league loss to Kelliher/Northome (Northome, MN).
