The Buckland Sissauni basketball team scored 62 points and restricted the host McQueen Qavviks to 31 in the Sissauni league victory on Friday.
The Sissauni now sport a 3-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Napaaqtugmiut for a 1A Northwest Arctic contest on Saturday, February 3. Buckland will battle a Lynx team coming off a 65-39 non-league loss to Shaktoolik (Shaktoolik, AK). The Lynx record now stands at 3-3.
The Qavviks (0-4) will now prepare for their contest against Shaktoolik (Shaktoolik, AK). The Wolverines come into the non-league contest with a 12-0 record. In their last contest, Shaktoolik triumphed over Napaaqtugmiut (Noatak, AK), 65-39, in a non-league contest.
