The Burns Hilanders (Burns, OR) basketball knocked off the host McLoughlin Pioneers (Milton-Freewater, OR), 35-18 in Friday's league test.
The Hilanders (14-4) will now prepare for their test against Riverside (Boardman, OR). The Pirates go into the 3A Eastern Oregon test with a 12-10 record. In their last test, Riverside went down by Vale (Vale, OR), 49-31, in a league test.
The Pioneers now own a 4-9 record. They play next when they host Nyssa for a 3A Eastern Oregon test on Saturday, February 3. McLoughlin will encounter a Bulldogs squad coming off a 40-22 league win over Umatilla (Umatilla, OR). The Bulldogs record now stands at 13-7.
