Calvary Christian Lions (Old Bridge, NJ) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting New Brunswick Zebra (New Brunswick, NJ), 37-30 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Calvary Christian upgrades its record to 4-10 on the campaign. The Lions travel to Somerset Tech (Bridgewater, NJ) to play the Jaguars in a non-league bout on Monday, February 5. The Jaguars come into the bout with a record of 1-13. Somerset Tech lost 77-23 in their recent non-league bout against Spotswood (Spotswood, NJ)

Next up, the Zebra play the Highland Park Owls (Highland Park, NJ) in a non-league bout, on Monday, February 5. New Brunswick will attempt to upgrade on its 2-13 season record. The Owls come into the bout with a 9-9 record after their 37-31 non-league win over Calvary Christian (Old Bridge, NJ).
