The Carlsbad Lancers (Carlsbad, CA) basketball felled the visiting San Dieguito Academy Mustangs (Encinitas, CA), 43-31 in Friday's league test.

The Lancers (15-11) will now prepare for their test against Sage Creek (Carlsbad, CA). The Bobcats go into the Coastal test with a 14-9 record. In their last test, Sage Creek went down by Torrey Pines (San Diego, CA), 59-41, in a league test.

The Mustangs now own a 6-14 record. They play next when they host La Costa Canyon for a Coastal test on Tuesday, February 6. San Dieguito Academy will encounter a Mavericks squad coming off a 45-38 league loss to Oceanside (Oceanside, CA). The Mavericks record now stands at 13-13.
