Destrehan Wildcats (Destrehan, LA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Central Lafourche Trojans (Raceland, LA), 49-33 in a league bout.

With the win, Destrehan upgrades its record to 15-8 on the season. The Wildcats travel to Terrebonne (Houma, LA) to play the Tigers in a 5A District 7 bout on Tuesday, February 6. The Tigers go into the bout with a record of 6-21. Terrebonne lost 46-22 in their recent league bout against Central Lafourche (Raceland, LA)

Next up, the Trojans play the East St. John Wildcats (Reserve, LA) in a 5A District 7 bout, on Tuesday, February 6. Central Lafourche will attempt to upgrade on its 13-12 season record. The Wildcats go into the bout with a 16-12 record after their 50-42 non-league win over East Iberville (St. Gabriel, LA).
