Cheney Cardinals (Cheney, KS) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Chaparral Roadrunners (Anthony, KS), 47-23 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Cheney upgrades its record to 11-3 on the season. The Cardinals host Independent (Wichita, KS) to play the Panthers in a non-league bout on Monday, February 5. The Panthers go into the bout with a record of 9-2. Independent won 61-38 in their recent non-league bout against Kingman (Kingman, KS)

Next up, the Roadrunners play the Conway Springs Cardinals (Conway Springs, KS) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, February 6. Chaparral will attempt to upgrade on its 9-6 season record. The Cardinals go into the bout with a 7-8 record after their 41-37 non-league win over Garden Plain (Garden Plain, KS).
