Chariho Chargers (Wood River Junction, RI) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Woonsocket Villa Novans (Woonsocket, RI), 52-30 in a league bout.

With the win, Chariho upgrades its record to 14-3 on the season. The Chargers travel to Westerly (Westerly, RI) to play the Bulldogs in a non-league bout on Tuesday, February 6. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a record of 8-7. Westerly won 52-44 in their recent league bout against Scituate (North Scituate, RI)

Next up, the Villa Novans play the Shea Raiders (Pawtucket, RI) in a Division 2 bout, on Monday, February 5. Woonsocket will attempt to upgrade on its 0-17 season record. The Raiders go into the bout with a 15-1 record after their 66-32 league win over Coventry (Coventry, RI).
