Hendersonville Bearcats (Hendersonville, NC) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Chase Trojans (Forest City, NC), 60-16 in a league bout.

With the win, Hendersonville upgrades its record to 13-7 on the season. The Bearcats host East Rutherford (Forest City, NC) to play the Cavaliers in a 1A/2A Mountain Foothills bout on Tuesday, February 6. The Cavaliers go into the bout with a record of 19-2. East Rutherford won 62-13 in their recent league bout against Patton (Morganton, NC)

Next up, the Trojans play the Brevard Blue Devils (Brevard, NC) in a 1A/2A Mountain Foothills bout, on Tuesday, February 6. Chase will attempt to upgrade on its 0-15 season record. The Blue Devils go into the bout with a 5-15 record after their 54-42 non-league loss to Asheville Christian Academy (Swannanoa, NC).
