Oklahoma High School Basketball - Checotah can't hold off Poteau

The Poteau Pirates basketball team scored 43 points and restricted the visiting Checotah Wildcats to 38 in the Pirates league victory on Friday.
The Pirates now sport a 11-12 record. They put it on the line next when they host Sallisaw for a NOAA contest on Tuesday, February 6. Poteau will battle a Black Diamonds team coming off a 44-36 league win over Checotah (Checotah, OK). The Black Diamonds record now stands at 7-12.
The Wildcats (3-14) will now prepare for their contest against Roland (Roland, OK). The Rangers come into the NOAA contest with a 15-4 record. In their last contest, Roland was nudged by Muldrow (Muldrow, OK), 39-37, in a league contest.
