Maryland High School Basketball - Churchill can't hold off Wootton

The Wootton Patriots basketball team scored 40 points and held the host Churchill Bulldogs to 34 in the Patriots non-league triumph on Friday.
The Patriots now sport a 8-8 record. They put it on the line next when they host Walter Johnson for a Montgomery County - 4A South contest on Monday, February 5. Wootton will battle a Wildcats team coming off a 57-35 league loss to Bethesda-Chevy Chase (Bethesda, MD). The Wildcats record now stands at 11-6.
The Bulldogs (4-10) will now prepare for their contest against Bethesda-Chevy Chase (Bethesda, MD). The Barons enter the Freelance contest with a 16-2 record.
