In Friday's league outing, the Cornwall Central Dragons (New Windsor, NY) basketball squad beat the host Washingtonville Wizards (Washingtonville, NY), by a count of 53-40.

The Dragons (7-7) will now prepare for their outing against Warwick (Warwick, NY). The Wildcats go into the Section 9 Orange County II outing with a 10-5 record. In their last challenge, Warwick toppled Monticello (Monticello, NY), 54-17, in a non-league challenge.

Next up, the Wizards play the Goshen Central Gladiators (Goshen, NY) in a Section 9 Orange County II challenge, on Monday, February 5. Washingtonville will attempt to upgrade on its 3-10 season record. The Gladiators come into the challenge with a 1-11 record after their 47-18 league loss to Valley Central (Montgomery, NY).
