Darlington Falcons (Darlington, SC) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Lake City Panthers (Lake City, SC), 58-42 in a league bout.

With the victory, Darlington upgrades its record to 16-8 on the campaign. The Falcons travel to Lakewood (Sumter, SC) to play the Gators in a AAA Region 6 bout on Tuesday, February 6. The Gators come into the bout with a record of 8-11. Lakewood lost 51-36 in their recent league bout against Crestwood (Sumter, SC)

Next up, the Panthers play the Marlboro County Bulldogs (Bennettsville, SC) in a AAA Region 6 bout, on Tuesday, February 6. Lake City will attempt to upgrade on its 6-14 season record. The Bulldogs come into the bout with a 0-17 record after their 114-15 league loss to Camden (Camden, SC).
