The Donovan Catholic Griffins basketball team scored 52 points and held the visiting Lakewood Piners to 10 in the Griffins league triumph on Friday.

The Griffins now hold a 6-12 record. They play next when they travel to Central Regional for a Shore B - South challenge on Tuesday, February 13.

Next up, the Piners play the Long Branch Green Wave (Long Branch, NJ) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, February 6. Lakewood will attempt to upgrade on its 3-12 season record. The Green Wave come into the challenge with a 5-14 record after their 34-11 non-league win over Matawan Regional (Aberdeen, NJ).
