North Carolina High School Basketball - East Surry fells Wilkes Central

February 2, 2024: Pilot Mountain, NC 27041

East Surry Cardinals (Pilot Mountain, NC) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Wilkes Central Eagles (Wilkesboro, NC), 50-35 in a league bout.

With the win, East Surry upgrades its record to 14-6 on the season. The Cardinals host South Stokes (Walnut Cove, NC) to clash with the Sauras in a non-league bout on Tuesday, February 6. The Sauras go into the bout with a record of 12-7. South Stokes lost 51-38 in their recent league bout against East Wilkes (Ronda, NC)

Next up, the Eagles clash with the North Wilkes Vikings (Hays, NC) in a 2A Foothills bout, on Tuesday, February 6. Wilkes Central will attempt to upgrade on its 5-16 season record. The Vikings go into the bout with a 17-3 record after their 55-45 league win over West Wilkes (Millers Creek, NC).
