Eden Bulldogs (Eden, TX) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Menard Yellowjackets (Menard, TX), 27-23 in a league bout.

With the victory, Eden upgrades its record to 11-4 on the campaign.

Next up, the Yellowjackets play the Santa Anna Mountaineers (Santa Anna, TX) in a 1A Region II District 12 bout, on Tuesday, February 6. Menard will attempt to upgrade on its 22-5 season record. The Mountaineers come into the bout with a 12-8 record after their 78-35 league win over Panther Creek (Valera, TX).
