Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Elgin Huskies (Elgin, OR) and the host Pilot Rock Rockets (Pilot Rock, OR), saw Elgin's basketball squad knock off Pilot Rock by a count of 52-41.

With the victory, Elgin upgrades its record to 9-9 on the campaign. The Huskies travel to Echo (Echo, OR) to play the Cougars in a 1A Old Oregon challenge on Saturday, February 3. The Cougars come into the challenge with a record of 15-5.

Next up, the Rockets play the Griswold Grizzlies (Helix, OR) in a 1A Old Oregon challenge, on Saturday, February 3. Pilot Rock will attempt to upgrade on its 4-15 season record.
